Приостановка погашения долговых обязательств и процентов по ним на определенный период времени. Отсрочка платежа может предоставляться, например, развивающимся странам в связи с критическим состоянием их платежного баланса или дилерам на рынке товаров, на котором произошло обвальное падение цен. С одной стороны, такая мера оправдана, поскольку дает возможность предотвратить непредсказуемое развитие событий. С другой стороны, введение моратория препятствует получению новых кредитов. См.
